Wine Awards

Bronze Award2009 Decanter World Wine Awards (for the Roussanne 2008) "Floral aromatic buttery toast, hints of tropical fruit. Clean fruit, soft, white flowers with a hint of well-integrated oak."
Robert Parker welcomed Stéphane Vedeau's arrival in the Rhone and commented that Stéphane had made "an impressive impression with his efforts in both his first vintages" and awarded his "stunning" La Ferme du Mont Châteauneuf du Pape 2007 with 96 points.
Le Guide Hachette rated Stéphane‘s La Ferme du Mont Côtes du Rhône "Première Côte" 2007 wines as one to drink in 2009 by awarding it 3 Stars and placing it as one of the best value wines to drink at under €10
Jancis Robinson declared the La Ferme du Mont Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2007 as "a majestic wine" and rated it in her top three Châteauneuf-du Papes for 2007 – a staggering feat considering that many of the more recognized names are selling at several times the price. Score 19/20 Points.

Decanter places Château Miraval, Rosé 2008 Côtes de Provence in their Top 20 Provence Rosés and describes it as a "delicious wine with flavours of rose and cherry, good depth". Highly recommended.
Awarded 4 stars
Decanter Magazine highly rated Stéphane’s J. Boutin Hermitage 2006, describing it as "pure blackcurrant nose and the same on the palate. Very youthful, focused, pure. Will develop very well. Big, generous finish. Drink from 2012". 16.6 points. Highly recommended.
Jancis Robinson really rates James Kinglake's AOC Limoux L'Etoile de Begude from the high altitude (350m) vineyards in southwest Languedoc as "a particularly fine, refreshing Chardonnay. The Kinglakes are making some very fine special bottlings such as L'Étoile, which is a bargain alternative to Chassagne..."
Château La Mascaronne Rosé 2008 Côtes de Provence "very good balance, elegant, with some weight. Very well made and very well judged. Good finish." Recommended
Only two St Joseph wines have received the top 2 star rating in the 2010 Guide Hachette and Stéphane Vedeau’s J. Boutin St Joseph "Parcelle de Jean" 2006 is one of them. "A complex aromatic palette with tapenade, morello cherry and stewed red fruit overtones, a good balance with a nice broadness and complexity from the barrel aging. This bottle is perfect now but will develop even more with time".
Château La Mascaronne Rosé 2008 Côtes de Provence "is a blend of Cinsault and Grenache Blanc and has a vivid pink with a dusty tomato nose. The fruit is much more rounded in the mouth - almost plumy. 13.5%". Score 15/20 Points
"An exciting new producer, Verus, a triumvirate of particularly ambitious young winemaking friends, has produced a range of thrillingly pure white wine varietals in a handsome screwcapped bottle. I can recommend all of them as beautifully made, precise varietal expressions, and have chosen the steely, firm Furmint as the wine that stood out for me"
